easy to use January 9, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is my first heart rate monitor and it is very simple to use. It is easy to set up your target heart rate zone. After this is set, it will beep when your heart rate drops below or goes over the target zone. By pressing one button while monitoring your heart rate, you can also view the stop watch or time. In addition, it has an easy to locate button on the front that lights up the face of the monitor. If you are exercising on a piece of equipment that has a heart rate monitor on it, the equipment picks up the signal from the chest strap (so you don't need to look at your wrist monitor, just the display on the equipment). The heart rate monitor also comes with a convenient carrying pouch. I have been very pleased with this heart rate monitor (I use it almost every day) and think it is a great product for the price.
Sensor kinda sucks January 9, 2007 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
Well 1st off I bought this item used but it was completely like new the box was still shiny even but the sensor had to be adjusted alot to pick up the signal. Sometimes u have to wet the sensors with either your sweat or lick your fingers and rub it on the sensor to pick it up better so that s pretty ghetto.
AVOID THIS PRODUCT! January 9, 2007 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
Not only were both batteries dead when I received it...but it didn't work! It would not keep my heart rate! Had to return it! My suggestion: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!
Craps out after 6 months January 8, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This monitor is great when it works. I bought mine 6 months ago, and now it has ceased working. I replaced the battery, and still nothing. I would complain to Omron, but because it was so cheap, it hardly seems worth it. Especially if the next one fails as well. Also, the chest strap is too big for me (I wear a size 8 in US women's clothing, 32 in bra size). Even if I wear it as tight as it goes, it slips around. I should have looked at smaller models, so that's entirely my fault. The short lifespan of the device is most definitely not my fault however.
Perfect, Simple Heart Rate Monitor January 6, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After purchasing this product I am quite impressed. This is the first heart rate monitor I have ever purchased - but it does the trick. Nothing fancy, but it works well to communicate what your current heart rate is. I was worried at first because a "chest strap" sounds kind of scary - but its really not, its a piece of plastic that connects to an elastic strap to fit around your ribs. It will go up to a 55" chest. A solid buy if you want to know your heart rate while you work out or rest.
